Spam filtering

Screened before your phone rings.

Every call is checked against a reputation list before your assistant picks up. A screened call never reaches you and never counts against your plan. Some will get through, and marking one takes a tap: the call goes back on your plan, and the number goes on the list everyone here draws from.

Get Your Number

No setup and no list to manage. It runs on every call, from the first one.

How it's screened

Checked before the assistant answers.

Two checks run ahead of anything else: who is calling, and whether the call behaves like a robocall. Both finish before your assistant picks up, so a call they stop never reaches the part of the system that costs anything.

Number reputation

Every call is checked against a list of numbers already known for spam, built from real reports across every BusyTel account.

Robocall pattern

A call that behaves like an automated dialer or an answering machine can be stopped the same way, even the first time that number has ever called.

Your allowance

A screened call is free, always.

A screened call is stopped before your assistant engages, so it is never one of the calls your plan sold you. Mark one that got through and we credit it back, so spam does not come off your allowance either way.

The shared list

It gets better as more businesses use it.

Every BusyTel customer draws on the same reputation list, and every report makes it a little sharper for everyone else on it.

One list, every account

A number flagged on one account is checked against on all of them, from the moment it is reported.

No single report decides it

One business's report is a signal, not a verdict. A number is blocked system-wide only once several separate accounts have flagged it.

The same rule holds everywhere this product weighs one customer's signal against everyone else's: nothing you report alone ever overrides how the system behaves for anyone but you.

When it gets it wrong

It misses both ways, and both take one tap.

No screening catches everything, and this one stops some calls it should not. Every call your assistant screens is on your call page, and so is every call it let through, each with the one button that fixes it.

Where you report one
  • Screened a real customer? Let the number through, unblocked for you at once
  • A robocall got past? Mark it as spam, and the call is credited back
  • Letting one through is yours alone and never touches anyone else's filtering
  • No form, no waiting on a review

The two go different distances on purpose. Letting a number through stops at your account, because your good customer is somebody else's robocall. Marking one as spam travels, and blocking it for everyone is the higher bar above: several separate reports, checked before it goes system-wide.

Questions

Questions about spam and blocking.

No, either way. A screened one is stopped before the assistant engages, so it never reaches you and never comes off your allowance. One that gets through and is marked as spam gets credited back.

Screened before it rings.

Every call checked, and a robocall costs you nothing either way. Nothing to set up.
